The Innovation

Project Description

A safer container to ship day old chickens.

Innovator Mac Dykeman often receive shipments of day old chicks; however, in many cases the shipments would arrive with high rates of morbidity or mortality. Mac wanted to address this issue by designing a safer shipping container.

The container Mac designed with several original aspects to securely transport the chicks, including a raised false floor and  a round insert that prevents chicks from crushing each other by crowding in the corners of the container.
